A blend of lao shu and tall-trunk qiao mu trees.

Kun Lu Shan became an imperial tribute tea garden during the Qing dynasty. About 31 km north of Pu'er, on the southern edge of the Wuliang range, the mountain rises from around 1,400 to 2,300 m. The old garden still runs through the village itself, with cultivated trees growing among the houses and continuing almost seamlessly into the wild forest behind them. Around 370 ancient trees here are estimated to be over 400 years old.

The lao shu and qiao mu material was basket-fermented separately to different degrees, then blended in measured proportions. The deeper fermentation gives the tea its dark, thick body, while the lighter-fermented material brings back chocolate, wood and fruit. Silky and enveloping, very dark in the pot, with a faint berry acidity underneath
