Blue Wall
2025 autumn harvest. Lao Man E, Bulang Shan. Da shu — big trees, at least two to three centuries old. Elevation around 1,400 m. Fully handmade
Picked after the rainy season, when the leaves are fuller and softer in character. Lao Man E is famous for its intense bitterness, while the autumn harvest brings out a rounder, more open side of these old-tree gardens.
Recognisably Bulang: bitter chocolate, dark fruit and a firm structure, followed by deep returning sweetness. If you want to understand Lao Man E character without being hit by it, start here
