Ink River
2025 harvest. Lao Man E, Bulang Shan. Da shu — big trees, at least two to three centuries old. Elevation around 1,400 m. Fully handmade
Lao Man E is one of the five villages of Banzhang and one of the oldest Bulang villages in the area. Ancient tea gardens surround the village, where tea and Theravada Buddhism have shaped local life for centuries.
Both bitter and sweet tea varieties grow in these gardens, and this tea combines them naturally. Basket-fermented to a medium degree, keeping the character of the origin clear. Dark and dense: bitter chocolate, dried plum and a deep Bulang bitterness that turns into sweetness on the finish
