Amber Day
2025 harvest. Mengku, Da Xue Shan — the Big Snow Mountain in Shuangjiang county, Lincang
The mountain gets its name from the snow on its peaks above 3,200 m, although the tea gardens are much lower. This area is considered one of the original homes of the tea plant and the birthplace of the Mengku large-leaf variety, now grown throughout Lincang. The leaves are thick and broad, with a strong mineral character.
Basket-fermented in small batches, preserving the distinct Mengku character. Amber and resinous, with dried apricot, walnut skin and dark honey. The bitterness slowly gives way to sweetness
